humidity

A foggy lens and a little bit of sun flare created an ethereal effect for this swollen waterfall at Summersville Lake in West Virginia. This is pure camera; no post trickeration at home. I think this one will look quite nice in our new bedroom once we get settled.

a new blur

A new (for me) take on static landscape photography. Slow the shutter speed down, and drag the lens downward/upward while the shutter's open. Dreamy.

a bit out of focus

Bokeh is the technical term for what the out-of-focus areas of a shot look like. With proper lighting, some crazy effects can take place. Yes, this is intentionally all bokeh and no sharply-focused foreground. For way more info than most will ever need, check this Zeiss article out.
