family talent

My kids are going to be artistic. I may not be able to produce art as a quote-unquote traditional artist, but my photographer's eye improves each time I click the shutter. My better half, on the other hand, is spectacular at creating tasty (and beautiful) masterpieces. These peonies aren't real, and she made them for a cake order.

As a hobby.

shocked

A shot from my archives to honor the wonderful woman in the foreground. You are greatly missed already.

a year of weddings

My grandmother patiently waits for her eldest grandson to get married, the second one this year. She was a trooper at the reception and stayed nearly 'til the end!

the planes, the planes!

Rainy Sunday. Perfect for heading out to a museum. We've been waiting for years to go to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. It's the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum with a lot more space. Located out by Dulles International Airport, we'd postponed going there for years. We were saving it for a visit from my uncle. He would have really enjoyed it. We miss you, Bob.
