rookie mistake
I looked forward to going out to shoot all week. Predictably, I forgot to charge my battery last night, so I didn't even make it to the National Cathedral. So much for cherry blossoms. I'm such a bonehead.

I really hate it when that happens. Now I carry 2 extra batteries with me so this doesn't happen.
I really ought to buy a spare. I planned on doing so before my honeymoon last summer, but never got around to it.
