Never have I been able to snap such a good shot of gear on a climbing trip. Perhaps crash pads don't photograph as well? I think it's because his gear has the character of someone that's been climbing for twenty-plus years.

During an afternoon siesta, I was struck by the blue sky above and the fact that there were actually clouds floating by. There wouldn't be clouds for the rest of the week.

off to the woods
Horse Pens 40 is an amazing climbing destination near Steele, Alabama. I spent the better part of my spring break camped out with the boulders and some friends. The rock is bullet hard sandstone with amazing texture.

the unforgiven

I took almost 300 photos over the weekend. Shooting in low light with the flash used to yield washed out messes. Something clicked with experimentation this weekend. Here, Tim works on The Unforgiven, a V7 crimpfest.
