friday update

My first attempted sales were a flop. You may recall I took 12 prints to an art consignment shop nearby in September. None of them sold. I'm going on a different tack now. A coworker and her husband own a wine bar in Vienna called Church Street Cellars. I recently handed over four of those framed prints to decorate their restaurant. If you'd like to check out what's there, head over there. Even if you're not looking to buy, their vittles and vino are quite delicious. It really is a great space! If you can't make it there, click on the tag "Church Street Cellars" below to see the photos I selected. Cheers!

UPDATE: One of the photos sold before it even made it onto the wall at Church Street. Very excited!

bistro de paris

No, this isn't another Parisian post. This is my first attempt at making Cuban coffee. A friend of mine tried to teach me last week. He always does such a good job, but I have much to learn. It tasted right, but I wasn't able to get the sugary froth on top. Practice makes perfect.

parisian gothic

I took many many photos of Notre Dame. It took walking around the cathedral for me to realize that it means "Our Lady." French isn't my first language, in case you were wondering.

street musicians

Unlike the Metro, it seems that the MBTA allows musicians to perform in their subway stops. This anonymous gentleman was one of many and by far one of the more talented ones.

the main hall

Union Station is a grand hall with gorgeous high ceilings. It's quite photogenic; no wonder I had so much fun snapping shots.
