long overdue

New year, old picture. This one and possibly another from our trip to Florida for Christmas. Pop's been watching a lot of Food Network lately. The salad he concocted for Christmas dinner was great and unlike any salad or slaw I've had before: fennel slaw with prosciutto & pistachio pesto. You must try it!

inspired by warhol

In October, when I went to the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, I was inspired to take some pop art inspired shots. On the camera-verboten floors, a few of his paintings made me think, "I can photograph in that style." It sure took me long enough, but here's my attempt at pop art via photography. The tint was added in post. I don't have color gels...yet.

bistro de paris

No, this isn't another Parisian post. This is my first attempt at making Cuban coffee. A friend of mine tried to teach me last week. He always does such a good job, but I have much to learn. It tasted right, but I wasn't able to get the sugary froth on top. Practice makes perfect.

shadow boxing

She'd just gotten home from work. We were talking in the kitchen and my adult-onset ADD kicked in. I don't know why I liked what I saw; perhaps you can explain it?
