basilica

As suggested by a friend, we ventured out to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on Catholic University's campus in Washington, D.C. It was a beautiful morning to be out and about with my camera.

It is a great place to get wonderful shots! One of my favorites in the city.

What a sky! Little polarizing, there? Great shot, whatever!

No polarizing, though I did have a filter in my bag. Too cold to fiddle with it without gloves on. Everything I've read about shooting in the snow tells me to underexpose it to keep the snow white and not have the sky get washed out. I do the same thing in bright sunlight too, and have gotten some pretty great results.
